Prada's Must Have Wedding Registry Items

By Equally Wed - Posted on Sunday, May 13, 2018

Take it from me, Darlings, these are the top picks you definitely want to find a space for on your wedding registry this year:

  • A retro stand mixer in powder blue
  • Dyson’s upright vacuum – it’s suction is second to none
  • A ThermoMix Pro – great for actual food and liquid dinners

Oh, and a designer named Prada Clutch. Yes me! Your wedding registry isn’t complete unless you’re requesting this season’s latest Prada Clutch. I’m the ultimate wedding registry item and I double as live entertainment too – and we all know you all love a good double, Darlings!

Actually I’ve been living a double life for 10-years now. I’ve had the pleasure of not only being a highly sought-after luxury item, but also one of Australia’s most in demand live-singing drag queens. I’m your go to ‘girl’ if you want to raise the bar at your wedding.

With the recent legalisation of same-sex marriage in Australia, which I am beyond excited about, I thought it would be fabulous to take you behind the scenes and show you what it really is like to be a same-sex wedding entertainer. Here we go…

Alison & Talie celebrated their union with a modern day Jewish ceremony, with the sun setting over beautiful Sydney Harbour and they enlisted me to get the party started with their favourite tunes.

Picture me the 6-foot something songstress leading the reveal of the bridal party, strutting my stuff in between elegantly decorated tables with family & friends being treated to a real dinner and a show.

Out on stage is where the magic happens. It’s where I get to entertain people of all age; children right through great grandparents. But for this wedding the bridal room was where the real magic happened. It was here that I really got to chat with the brides and get to know them personally. So much so that we have remained connected ever since and even hit up the New York gay scene together sipping cosmos and watching drag shows on a recent vacation.

I’ve included some happy snaps from their wedding. Don’t they just look gorgeous? Oh, and I don’t look too bad myself, do I Darlings?

Being a same-sex wedding entertainer not only fulfils my desire to perform but also allows me to meet lovely couples, like Alison & Talie, that appreciate the same things in life as me. They’re at a point in their lives where they want to share their love for one another and they want to have a bloody good time doing so. It’s exactly where I am in my life with my recent engagement to Gavin my partner and manager of 8-years.

I feel truly blessed to say that I get to spend time with so many newlyweds’ & be a part of their special day. It really is the fondant on the wedding cake for an entertainer like me.

Well Darlings, I best be off. Time for my green tea facial and glass of bubbles. It’s hard work looking this god damn pretty you know.

MWAH! P.C. xxx
